academician sun Shigang said that the major project is to develop three kinds of experimental methods of optical detection, photodissociation and optical excitation, and develop a large experimental device for Energy Chemistry Research Based on tunable infrared laser, starting from the scientific frontier research orientation, aiming at the needs of solving the key scientific problems of energy chemistry, combined with the latest achievements in the current free electron laser and other technical fields. The infrared free electron laser light source and five experimental line stations developed by the scientific development of the project are unique and progressiveness, and also face many challenges. It is hoped that all researchers will work together to build a world-class scientific research device. At the same time, for some gradually emerging management problems, the price of each bag should be increased by at least 0.5 yuan. It is suggested that the National Natural Science Foundation of China and experts should take this project as an example to gradually explore the need to make special samples and establish a long-term mechanism for the R & D, operation and maintenance of large-scale experimental equipment
Bao Xinhe, President of the University of science and technology of China, pointed out that whether the development of experimental devices can reach the world-class level, we should take the ability to solve scientific problems as the most important indicator.
